Over three decades, I watched good shops lose time and money to the same thing: not a lack of knowledge, but overhead. Decisions made in one meeting and lost by the next. The same tooling mistake made twice because nobody recorded why it happened the first time. AI changes that equation. Used correctly, it takes on the repetitive, administrative, and invisible work that eats an engineer’s or owner’s day.
A business owner once told me her biggest problem was communication. An hour later we had mapped five separate handoff points across her operation: internal team, customer, supplier, designer, toolmaker. Each one was a place where things silently fell through. That wasn’t a communication problem. It was a coordination problem with five failure points, and the fix was completely different from what she’d been trying. That’s the conversation I have with every client before anything else.
I built a working AI agent system from scratch to understand what these tools actually do, not in theory but in practice. That experience is what I bring to every engagement. The tool that I built. The AI agent running that tool.

I learned to get quiet and let the real picture emerge before reaching for a solution.
I work from a dedicated home office in Tiverton, Ontario, with no time pressure and no agenda other than finding the truth of your situation. I start every morning with two hours of meditation and exercise. I mention that not as biography but as context: I show up to every conversation settled, focused, and genuinely curious about your business.
Independent shops matter to me. Building a business of your own design is worth protecting, and I’ve made that choice myself. I understand what’s at stake when the business isn’t working the way it should.
